Our Story | HUCHOS

We have 3 grown boys that have been playing competitive sports since a very young age and currently at the college level. They have all experienced the roller coaster of highs and lows ranging from being a superstar to getting zero minutes in a game or tournament with no explanation as to why. The highs are amazing but the lows can be truly devastating and heartbreaking. It was from these moments of devastating lows that the idea of HUCHOS was born.  As a parent or friend, brother, sister, son or daughter, it’s often hard to find the right words of encouragement for the people you love, who despite having dedicated so much of their lives to achieving their goals with unwavering passion, grit and determination, don’t seem to be getting the return on the investment they made on themselves.  The words that kept coming to us whenever we spoke with our boys in these tough situations always seemed to be - keep your head up, chest out and smile. That mantra was used to end every conversation we had with them, to keep them believing in themselves, confident in who they are and what they stand for. Head up, chest out and smile - HUCHOS. Suddenly, HUCHOS was being attached to everything that any of us in our family was going through.  HUCHOS is universal and it applies to any situation where someone is feeling vulnerable… a teenager’s struggle with school, sports, or navigating a tricky social life; not getting accepted into the college of your dreams, a friend battling illness or injury, a couple facing divorce, someone losing their job while trying to raise a family and pretty much any adverse situation that someone is trying to overcome. Stay confident and proud in who you are, stand strong in what you believe in, and never forget the amount of love and support you have in your life. Appreciate the small moments, take time to breathe, enjoy the climb and always remember… HUCHOS
